Japanese blossom quilt
My newest quilt, "Japanese Blossom," started with a block that I made using scraps leftover from other projects (it's in the middle of the quilt). It hung around my studio for several months until I finally finished it. This piece is about 20 inches by 30 inches, and has intensive machine quilting in a leafy pattern.

This is a beauty! Love the quilting, too.
Karin,
I love the iris designs on your blog--if you take a look at my web site (www.salume.org) you can see the iris quilt I made a few years ago. (click on "art quilt", then "Elanor's Iris." I painted the fabric, then added strips of fabric over the leaves and flowers using raw edge applique. I machine quilted it with varigated cotton thread.
