Farmers' Market in Our Small Town

Here's a few shots from our recent market.

Planting a garden in a wooden pallet

A friend gave me some free lettuce, onion, and artichoke plants, so I finally used the wooden pallet I picked up this summer. First, we nailed wire mesh over the bottom to discourage gophers, then filled it with soil and added the plants! I also had to dig out three bushes that were not happy in that spot in the garden, so this was a several-hour project, but it looks good. I was inspired by the wood pallet garden on this site.

Stuck on Hwy 92...

As I was sitting in traffic last night, I took a few photos of my everyday commute, it's really quite beautiful!

Another Alameda Outing

The weather was just perfect on Sunday and the antique market was not very crowded for a change. I saw lots of lovely things and brought home a few, like the filet crochet baby blanket (only $5!!!)
