Mini-Fun Day!
Saturday, I went to San Carlos to get a haircut using a Groupon and also checked out Shellie's Miniatures, a store that is about half full of miniature dollhouses and other tiny things. I also visited the nearby cooperative antique store and brought home three books about dollhouses.
The first "deco" building is a hobby shop in San Carlos on Laurel Street. I looked inside, but they mostly have crafty and model railroad materials. The dollhouse pics were taken at Shellies, but my camera battery died after I took just a few. The Korean dolls were gifts from a friend, and the roses are blooming in my front yard right now!

Lugano Fondue in Carmel
The decor at this restaurant in the Barnyard shopping center is very "kitschy"and the prices are high, but the food was good--I preferred the cheese fondue to the beef and chicken (which are cooked in broth, not oil) and the dessert chocolate. We got the sampler which includes three courses for $30 per person. Next time we come here, we'll try the Vietnamese restaurant that is above the Lugano--it is being remodeled right now so it was not open.
We went to Carmel and ate fondue at Lugano,
a very traditional place in the Barnyard shopping center, then checked out Smallsea, a very fun "museum" of miniature houses and tiny dolls. I took a lot of pics!
