Fun with Penelope

I'm having fun with my new doll--I bought a pattern and knit her a warm winter outfit! Finished it today just in time to get some pictures before the light started to fade.

Park Chalet Restaurant in SF

This week, we used a groupon to eat lunch at the Park Chalet restaurant in SF. It is in the same building but behind the Beach Chalet restaurant, where I have wanted to eat for years. The brunch was excellent, but the best part of the day was exploring the old building and exhibits there about its history. The murals were painted in the 1930's and have that authentic feeling of the era. There's even a knitter!

Ellowyne Doll Event

Yesterday, I attended a luncheon/sale/event at a local hotel, put on by Tonner (company that makes the Ellowyne dolls I began buying a couple of years ago). I had pre-ordered a Patsy doll, which is a little girl, in a special dress sold only at events like this. I also bought my Ellowyne a new outfit (on sale!) Everyone received a small gift, mine was a little purple satin bow purse for Ellowyne. I didn't win any of the door prizes or raffle prizes, but I love my new doll and had a good time. Photos were not allowed but I managed to snap some pics of dolls that the ladies at the next table had dressed in kimonos. The tiny doll is Amelia Thimble, she's only 4 inches tall and so delicate!
