Happy Thanksgiving!

Ginny celebrated with us in a knitted Pilgrim dress and hat (complete with turkey and pumpkin). These were made for the Edward and Anastasia Bears that were in Your Knitting Life magazine before it folded. I made the cross stitch pumpkins years ago, and purchased the other decorations at various places.

Tiny Dolls

These are two little dolls that I purchased recently at the Alameda Antique Market. Now I need to make them some new clothes!

Unexpected change in our landscape!

This morning, a crew showed up and began cutting down the huge pine tree in our neighbors yard that has been the backdrop of our garden ever since we moved here. I got home in time to take a couple shots before they removed the last branch from the top.

Knitters Lab Find

Last night, I went to the Knitters Lab vendor mall--it's at the same hotel where it was held last year, very handy for my commute (except the traffic on 101 was horrible!) Anyway, I managed to NOT buy any yarn, but I did invest in a set of color-coded Japanese crochet hooks that I have been coveting, and a lace-edged crochet shawl pattern called "Belle Epoque" by Kira Dulaney.
