I went to the
Allied Arts Guild in Menlo Park twice this week to paint. The first time was a mistake, I thought it was Wednesday when our HMB plein air group would be there, but it was Tuesday. Luckily, another group, the
Peninsula Outdoor Painters, was there and welcomed me, so I stayed and painted with them. Then I went back on the real Wednesday and met my own group. I did a variety of quick watercolors and also took some photos for future paintings. For the round fountain, I sat on the second-floor landing of outdoor stairway, to get an aerial view. The photo shows the actual fountain, you can see my painting of the same scene.
