On Monday, I drove to Santa Cruz and checked out the Golden Fleece, a yarn shop I have visited before but that now has a new owner. The shop seems to have more yarn than it did the last time, and it was quite busy even on Labor Day. I can recommend the coffee at the Java Junction coffee shop across the street, also! On the way back home, I stopped at the Swift Stitch, another yarn shop, but it was closed. I consoled myself with fresh lemonade from Kelly's French Bakery next door, delicious.
