Dixon Mayfair Wool Festival

We drove to Dixon today to check out the annual Wool Festival, it was quite fun! I had lamb tacos and a frozen margarita for lunch, with homemade pumpkin/chocolate chip cookies for dessert. Lots of lovely handspun yarn and fiber were on display--I bought three skeins of yarn and a long circular needle that I need to finish a sweater.

Cantor Museum Fun Day

We visited the Cantor Museum yesterday, this is a great museum and admission is FREE! The cafe has the best burgers in the world, too...

Another Kings Mountain Art Festival

I walked around and enjoyed the day, but didn't buy anything except coffee and soda...being under the huge redwoods is always nice. Traffic wasn't bad either way, also. Just another perfect day!

Another Lovely Day at Alameda

For some reason, there were several "two headed" creatures at the Alameda Antique Market yesterday--I didn't get a picture of the ugly grey rubber two-headed "troll doll" that I saw a woman walking out with, but I did get a shot of a green two-headed manequin. Weird. But the sun was out, it was not TOO hot, and I brought home a few bits of hand painted Japanese china plus some wooden Christmas ornaments from New Orleans, total spent was less than $20.

Army Surplus Store near Monterey
