For this card, I used mainly thread, but I also added some sheer bits of ribbon for the leaves and also over the flowers, tacking the ribbon down with embroidery silk. And I think I did use a bit of silk ribbon as well--I completed this card several months ago, so I don't remember all the details. I have another one I need to complete, a copy of this one.
